Cyllopoda research
Title: Revision of the genus Cyllopoda (Geometridae: Sterrhinae: Cyllopodini).
This is the first part of a planned revision of the tribe Cyllopodini. In this revisionary review some of the synonomy that exists in the genus is resolved and a contribution to a better understanding of the relationships within the genus and tribe accomplished. Morphological taxonomic techniques were used leading to 4 new synonyms, the re-elevation to species level of 1 subspecies, the use of 2 new combinations, the designation of 5 lectotypes, and 4 paralectotypes.Supported in part by a grant from the Lepidoptera Research Foundation.
